Crazy old lady I saw in Guatemala.
When I saw her slumped against a building on the street, I thought she was dead. Then she groaned, so I gave her money. Just a few coins, but she thanked me and I took her picture. Usually I feel like an idiot- a conceited, western jerk- taking pictures of people's misery. 'It's not a fucking zoo', I want to scream at the silly american tourists laughing and snapping pictures of everything they see. However, something seemed ok about this one, so I took it. |
